Sillipers

Okay so before i start writing, i want to dedicate this to all my happening Naija Ladies (y'all the hottest!), please accept this blog with all the humor in your heart.

That said, i proceed, my dilemma are those slippers up there, i remember the first time i came across them, a friend of mine showed me the picture and asked me to buy them, i actually thought they were pretty cute, so i told my friend that we should go get them in the market. when we first priced it, i thought the price was pretty ridiculous (3k for wetin na?), so we kept walking further and further into the market and i kept seeing the slippers everywhere, like at every nook and every cranny of the market, with ladies crowding over them like nothing I’d ever seen!
Right there and then, i decided those slippers would never touch my feet.

Its almost four months after and these slippers are still everywhere!!!! The rate at which Lasgidi babes have taken a liking to them still amazes me, it’s like that is their identification for fabulousity.
There is a babe on my street that has these slippers in every colour, she wears them on all sorts of outfit, native, casual and corporate, its so bad am starting to feel embarrased on her behalf.

I get it, we ladies love to be ‘current’.

But i still want to scream ‘Enough already!!!!!, can we please move on now?!!!’
xoxo
