Chibok Girls: One Year After...We will Never Forget

On this day, April 14th, 2015 we mark the one year anniversary since the abduction of Chibok Girls. On this day one year ago, over 200 female students were kidnapped from the Government Secondary School in the town of Chibok in Borno State, by Boko Haram militants.

The kidnap sparked international condemnation and outrage which gave birth to the famous hashtag, #bringbackourgirls. But 365 days later, our girls haven't been found.

219 young girls from various secondary schools in Abuja were picked as ambassadors for the missing Chibok girls pictured after the cut getting ready to march to the Federal Ministry of Education this morning. Pictured with the girls are Irish and Danish ambassadors.
