Students and Soldiers in Bloody Clash at Nasarawa State University, Keffi
Students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi,
this morning clashed with soldiers after they protested over not having water
for many days on campus. Soldiers were called into the school to restore sanity
but things went crazy. I even heard four students have been shot, the
victims are
said to be among the hundreds of students
who protested against the scarcity of electricity and water in the school.
Nassarawa State Police Command spokesperson,
Michael Ada, confirmed the killing of the students but denied that they were
shot by police officers.
He said the commissioner of police in the state was already at the scene.
