According to Sahara reporters, apart from the two new luxury helicopters ordered by President Googluck Jonathan, the Presidency has made a deposit of $9 million for a Hawker 4000 jet.
Allegedly in 2012 budget, an additional $12 million was budgeted to complete the purchase of the jet.
But according to reports, the money is now tied up in a New York court as the manufacturer of the jet Hawker Neechraft entered into bankruptcy proceeding in the US District Court of Southern New York last May.
