The shortlist of 15 includes names like Edison Cavani, Robin van Persie, Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao, etc.
Who truly deserves the award?
They were all voted for by the 50,000 players, who are part of the professional footballers’ union FIFpro, in a secret ballot.
The final World XI selection will be announced at the Ballon d’Or award ceremony on January 7, 2013.
