The very or beyond popular social media "Facebook" has hit 1 Billion users according to recent statistics. This statistics is based on real humans who actively engage on the social network, the company spokesman confirmed.
As of September 14, 2012, one in seven people on the planet has been classified by the company as an active Facebook user.
Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerber shared the milestone in an exclusive interview with Matt Lauer.
"I mean, it's just - an amazing honour," Zuckerbeg said of his social network's jaw-dropping membership status.
