Nyesom Wike of PDP wins River Governorship election


PDP governorship candidate in Rivers state, Nyesom Wike has been declared winner of the state governorship election. INEC's returning officer, Prof Faraday Oruwense announced the results this morning. He said Wike pulled a total of 1,029,102 votes to beat his main opponent, APC's Dakuku Peterside who had 124,896 votes.

Hilary Clinton declares interest to Run for American Presidency


The wife of former US President Bill Clinton, and former US Secretary of State. Hillary Clinton, 67, declared her interest to run yesterday for president of the United States in 2016. She announced her interest to run today April 12th:

"I’m running for president. Everyday Americans need a champion. And I want to be that champion. So I’m hitting the road to earn your vote - because it’s your time. And I hope you’ll join me on this journey.” she said

Election Updates: Ambode takes Lagos, El-Rufai takes Kaduna, other wins and losses


Former FCT Minister and APC governorship candidate in Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El Rufai was declared winner of the Kaduna state Governorship election. He pulled a total of 1, 117, 635 votes to defeat the incumbent governor and PDP candidate, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero who pulled a total of 485 833 votes.

Akinwunmi Ambode was declared winner of the 2015 governorship election. The governor-elect pulled a total of 811, 994 to defeat PDP's Jimi Agbaje who pulled a total of 659, 788 votes.

Actor Desmond Elliot Wins Election, Thanks Everyone for Believing in Him



The actor turned politician won the Lagos state House of Assembly election and would then proceed to the State Assembly where he'll be representing Surulere Constituency 1.

Justin Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel welcome Son


The hollywood couple welcome their baby boy today, they have named their son Silas Randall Timberlake.  A rep told People magazine that mom and the baby are doing well and dad is “ecstatic.”.

Former actor Desmond Elliot denies bribing voters after this photo hits the net


Desmond Elliot,actor turned politician, is here in this photo with money in his hand and surrounded by people and the police, caused many to insinuate he shared money as some kind of bribe to get voters to vote for him. He's contesting for Lagos House of Assembly today.

Kidnapper Maid demands N15m Ransom for Orekoya Boys


23 year old Mary Akinloye, the nanny who kidnapped the Orekoya boys on Tuesday April 7th from their home has reached out to the family of the kidnapped boys demanding a N15 million ransom for their release. A friend of the family who spoke with Punch said the nanny called and demanded for N15 million before the boys can be released.
Meanwhile, Lagos state Police spokesperson, Kenneth Nwosu says further investigation into the matter is ongoing. He said there are things the police know but cannot reveal now so as not to break the line of communication with the kidnappers. He said what is important right now is that the boys are returned hale and hearty.

Kim and Khloe meet with Armenian Prime Minister



The Kardashian sisters met with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, and other members of his cabinet this afternoon. The PM thanked the girls for staying in touch with their Armenian roots and remembering the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The sisters thanked the PM and promised to learn how to speak the Armenian language. Another photo after the cut...

The sisters went on sightseeing today in the Armenian capital of Yerevan with police protection and fans who couldn't get enough of the reality sisters. T.B Joshua Curses out Zimbabweans


Synagogue Church of All Nations GO Prophet T.B Joshua is sooo not happy with Zimbabweans he claims are spreading false news about him.

He took to Facebook this morning to place a curse on them. 

Zimbawean media has been awash this week with reports that Prophet Joshua had predicted the fall of 3 of their prominent prophets. This caused serious backlash from Zimbabweans on T.B Joshua. He denied making these predictions and so took to his FB page to curse those claiming he did.

Dear Lagosians,

First let me thank you all for turning out to vote on the 28th March 2015 and for doing so peacefully to make history by electing the All Progressives Congress candidates in the Presidential and National Assembly elections. Once again, I must address you as we approach Saturday’s elections, when you will be electing a Governor who will continue after me and consolidate on the progress we have built together.

The house help only resumed yesterday, took the kids out at 8am this morning and never returned. What kind of heartless person will do this to a family? Four Nigerian Students found Dead in Georgia, Europe


Four Nigerian students, (two pictured above. The other two after the cut), were found dead in an apartment on Vazha-Pshavela Avenue in the Georgian  (European country) capital of Tbilisi yesterday night Wednesday April 8th. Three of the boys were students at Tbilisi State Medical University and one at Georgia’s University.

Police are saying the boys died from gas poisoning due to a faulty water heater in their apartment.
